1. Jonathan Stephen Ross was born on November 17, 1960. His mother was actress and radio presenter Martha Ross, while his father worked as a lorry driver. His brothers Paul, Miles and Simon also all work in the world of TV.
2. Wossy was educated at Norlington School for Boys and studied Modern European History at the School of Slavonic and East European Studies. Who'd have thought he'd end up interviewing Lady GaGa and her teacup!
3. Don't bother trying to impress Jonathan if you look like a stick-thin model. He prefers his women to have a fuller figure. "I love fat birds. I, for want of a correct phrase, find women with fat stomachs very sexy," he once said.
4. When we think of Jonathan Ross, sexy isn't one of the first words that springs to mind. But apparently it is for Trojan condoms users. The firm conducted a survey which found Wossy to have the 'Sexiest Male Voice in UK Radio'. Quite an award!
5. Ross may be considered quite a gentle and friendly film critic, but he's not afraid of making a few nasty digs if a movie isn't up to scratch. In 2001, he said, "I'd rather have chewed my own arm off than sit through something as putrid as Pearl Harbor", while he claimed in 2005 that if V for Vendetta "had been called for V For Vasectomy, I would scarcely have found it a less enjoyable experience".
6. However, perhaps one of Wossy's biggest and most famous movie rants came in 2006, when he launched a scathing attack on Clerks II and directer Kevin Smith. "Mr Smith's latest work is breathtakingly shoddy. It's a real tribute to the man's shrewd use of the Internet to keep his profile alive that he's managed to sustain a career in the movie industry, as he has no detectable talent as writer, director, editor or actor."
7. This Week presenter Andrew Neil is apparently not a big fan of Wossy's. The former newspaper editor compared the BBC star's presenting style to football hooliganism.
8. We don't mean to be rude, but Wossy isn't afraid of being a bit outlandish when it comes to naming his children. Betty Kitten, Harvey Kirby and Honey Kinney must have plenty of fun in the playground!
9. According to his Radio 2 profile, Ross owns a dog, a cat, an iguana, two salamanders, two chinchillas and a number of ferrets. Plus, he hopes to get a fruit bat soon. He could probably charge house guests and call it a zoo!
10. What was Wossy's summary of the whole ManuelGate, SachsGate scandal then? Apparently the whole thing was just "silly". "It was quite entertaining," he said. "It was weird watching people get themselves into a lather over something so intrinsically unimportant as that. It was just silly. Silly people writing silly things."
